RPA software mimics a human’s interaction with his/her computer:
- The screen is “read” through the labels sent from the computer to the monitor, OCR (Optical Character Recognition) and computer vision.
- The databot uses the keyboard and mouse drivers built into the computers’ operating system to type and control.
In this way, a databot can interact with any existing application just like a human would.
Can the standard user interfaces as described above not be used? The better databots will also support SOAP and REST API integration as well as SQL queries.
Should this still no suffice, it is possible to include custom programmed code into the databot. However by making the right technology choice can be avoided, which is why it is safe to speak of a “no-code” solution.
